40 hp mercury 2stroke outboard problem

Hello, my name is tasos and iam from Greece .My problem is in my 1983 40 hp oil injection mercury 2stroke outboard. the problem is after i float in the boat (the engine isn't come in contact with the water) the engine is make a lot of smoke (is turn to be blue) when is warm up it can't accelerate and the rpm is low .if you put it in neutral and play with the hand gas is working fine.we clean the carburetor and change all the selings we change the ebeler .the water of the cooling system is coming warmer than usual .and we have smoke coming out of the base of the engine

Are you saying that you are starting the engine before putting it in the water? If so you might have burned up both the water pump and the engine as well.
