1960 johnson 40 Hp. Idles Ok but the throttle Pointer on the Engine Where it says SLOW START and FASt, the pointer is pointing at Start for the best idling speed. You turn it down to slow position it will die. Seems to get good high speed too. Is the pointer out of adjustment. Tried leaning out the carb for more idle speed but then it just coughs. Diconnected remote controls to eliminate them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. I tried to post earlier so hopefully this isn't a second post
