I have a 1960 40hp super seahorse, it ran last year after I replaced the points and other things under the flywheel. This year it didn't start, I think from a faulty battery but it could be a bad starter. it is a long shaft. Also I have a 1961 40hp super seahorse short shaft, this motor has been used for parts and is missing several parts. I have controls for both, but one needs new ends. My question is anyone have any interest in these motors or should I just begin to disassemble them for scrap??

Yes, you could get someone to take them off of your hands in Wisconsin, as some still like to run the old girls. 3-400 bucks for the lot, if the good one can be shown to run. Probably a bad battery or cables on the good motor; those starter don't crap out very easily.
