40 Mariner by Yamaha good motors?

Are the 40hp Mariners built by Yamaha good motors? Any difficulity getting parts or service. Thanks

I've heard nothing but positive things about the motors, and parts should not be an issue.

As with any outboard, the care it has been given will determine how good of a motor it is. One that has been properly maintained and serviced will last a very long time.​
