boat, 33 grady marlin tournement edition, motors 3 month old yamaha Z300's.
man called in ,both motors blown and he was 30 miles norteast of oregon inlet, 40 by the time the tow boat US capt got him on a string.
I was paying for my fuel at the ships store about 5:30 PM when a worker looked out and said here comes the towboat.
nosey me had to go look.
had the man crank over both motors, both sounded ok cranking.
so I jumps onboard and hit his fuel primers, no fuel in them, so I switched the fuel valves from main to aux. primed the system and lit both them momma's up. the guy not only did not know he had valves he also was not aware that yamaha fuel guages have a built in delay and may take as much as 5 min to show the correct level.
the man ran out of gas and got towed standing on 180 gallons.

Now rodbolt, that is funny! Good job. It's like the guy whose engine won't start and the kill lanyard is laying on his seat.

Then there is the guy who has his mentally challenged son hold the bow line (about three feet long) while he backs the boat in the water. Tells the son not to let go and then jerks the poor young man right off the end of the dock.

In my defense, if you knew my Dad, you would hold on to the line with your life too. ;) :)
