I have a 1990 Starcraft Holiday with the 140hp and a 400 series outdrive. Assuming nothing has been changed on this boat over the years, what type of shift mechanism would it have? My throttle/shift handle currently has to be in roughly the 10 O’clock position to be in neutral. Is there a way to adjust so it’s in the 12 O’clock position? Could it be as simple as slipping the throttle/shift lever off at the helm and moving it? Finally, will the props off the 90° V-4 outboards work on this outdrive?
I’m just getting back to working on it and need to finish up the wiring before I can take it out to test it.
