A friend has a 2000 40 Hp 4 Stroke he would like to put electric start on. My question is two part. 1: Does anyone know where I might be able to get used parts(flywheel, starter, etc.) 2: Is the timing pulley and the flywheel one piece?<br />I have taken a quick look and it appears that installing an electric starter wouldn't be that big of a deal if the parts are available and the flywheel setup isn't too ellaborate. The wiring wouldn't be hard but I noticed a neutral safety switch would have to be installed. I think this could be done fairly easy. Does anyone have any feedback. Thanks in advace for any help.
