Just wanted to get some opinions from anybody...I was changing the gear oil in my outboard and noticed the old oil be be a mocha/light chocolate color.Do you fellas have any idea what would give the oil this color and where the problem might come from?My guess would be from mixing with water. This is my first boat/motor so i am new to this.I worked on 2 stroke minibikes so i have some knowledge on 2-strokes but i dont know if the same thing applies to outboard motors...Any comments or replies would be greatly appreciated.

yep. did you change the washers on the fill and vent plugs, last time it was changed. that is the 1st step. drain refill with new washers, run it a couple of times and check for water. and again use new washers.
