What's the difference? One more permanent than the other?

4200 is designed for parts you may want to disassemble someday.
5200 is for things you never want to come apart.

Re: 4200 vs. 5200

5200 is supposed to be permanent. 4200 slightly less permanent, from my reading anyway. I'm wanting to know more, because the product doesn't keep long after breaking the seal, and I want to seal my transom holes with this when I mount everything back on it. I doubt I'll use all of the 5200 I have on my deck screws, and I'd hate to buy 4200 just for the transom and throw some 5200 away. But I may need to remove them someday!

Yea .. well the more important question is 4200 to 4000.

5200 is permabond .. 4 series is more user friendly when it comes down to removal.

Under waterline .. or on deck .. thats were you go from 52 to 42 or 4000.. research it mate :)

4000 is a good above waterline sealant.. 52 is good underwater with water involved. .. 52 fast is good for out of the water projects ;) ..

YD.
