Every year or so I have to change the float assembly on 2 or so carbs ( not always the same ones) because they either crack on the bottom or start to warp on the sides. I live in s. Fla so it's super hot down here during the summer. Can just imagine how hot it must get under the cowl. I'm tired of having to change these things every time I see some leakage inside the engine area. I only turn the screws that holds them slightly tight. Just enough where I don't get any leakage and after a year or so I have leaks. I put them on a flat table and I can see the bowl is warped. A couple have had cracks on the bottom. I thinking it has something to do with the ethanol.
Anyway....I'm looking for a similar engine model that might have aluminum chambers where I might be able to swap them out and forget about that part and constantly having to monitor them (all six).

I've never heard of an update for them but you may want to call BRP customer service at 1-847-689-7090 and ask them. I heard at one time they changed the material in them.
