470 alternator mystery wire

Traced this yellow wire from under the dash, back to my alternator. On the console it is the only wire on a two pronged indicator light labeled 'up/down tilt'? Obviously the po was up to something, but I cannot figure out what.

What belongs in the tilt location? (I have seperate gauge for tilt, and also have trimtabs, without a gauge for that.)






Where should the alt. wire lead to under the dash, for what purpose?

Probably a momentary up/down toggle switch for raising the drive up for trailering.

I have no idea why they ran that yellow wire all the way to the dash and that light. Here is how it should have been wired.
