470 Heat exchanger end cap bases

How are the threaded bases, which the end caps screw into, on a 470 headt exchanger attached. The part I have questions about are on each end the the heat exchanger with the end caps removed. Are they brased on with a torch or is there some type of sealant holding them in?

you remove the center bolt and the cap simply comes off, unless you mean where the bolts go into. there part of the HE

Yah, where they bolt into, I have one that is loose. It looks like they should be brazed into the end of the heat exchanger.
