470 Question- Is there a rev limiter?

Just wondering :) Never felt one but havent exactly been trying to find it :)

I usually go to 3500rpm Max thinking that 4300 or so is the redline.

For the 165-170, WOT is 4200-4600 rpm, for the 180-190, WOT is 4400-4800 rpm. With mine, don't like to run over 4000 for any extended length of time.

Ayuh,... The Only rev-limiter is the motor runnin' out of power, or the valves floatin'....
Sounds like your problem is the Power thing...

All boats have a built-in rev limiter.... We spell it W-I-F-E.... :D:D:D

Rev limiter? Yes they do. Besides W-I-F-E, its also called a propellor.
