Anyone know where I can purchase 2 risers for my 470?
I cannot seem to find anyone who has them new. I need the ones for the aluminum manifold (P/N 98562A6)
apologies to the mods if this is in the wrong thread

many parts from Mercruiser are NLA. you will need to search Barr and Osco for aftermarket. Avoid GLM.

Thanks for the effort of looking but that's not the one.

I need mercuiser 98562A6 or sierra 18-1937 or oscor 8561 or the GLM 51180.

Actual risers or the reservoir? Why do you need 2? Hit me up with a pm, I have parts ...
98562A6 riser/reservoir or sierra 18-1937 or Oscor 8561
I want to replace both with new ones but can't find anyone who has them.

Update,
They had 2 pc in stock. I just ordered them and feel kinda beaten up over the price but hopefully I'll never need to replace these again and can clean up my old ones, sell them and recoup some money.

Really? You know what we're paying for those in Australia? Over $600 each... When it comes to parts pricing and availability, be thankful you live where you do...

Chris...
$350 each plus shipping AND a 25% tariff because their made in China.
total cost per riser = around $480 each.

Well, you can thank people who shop solely on price for that! The sooner EVERYBODY learns that 'cheap no good, good no cheap', the better the world will be. Well, maybe not for china, but I see that as a gain anyway.

It's a sad thing having to buy parts for an American engine from China because the American consumers do not support commodities made in America. They'd rather save a penny instead.

I'd pay extra if I could actually find American made parts.

Oh well..

Columbia, Ohio or Columbia, South America?
Cartagena Columbia (South America) to be exact.

cost of goods difference between sourcing from the US and sourcing from Cartagena and sourcing from China

part - simple seat pedestal. 2 laser cut plate with a #8 finish and a 1 foot section of 4" schedule 10 pre-polished pipe, whole weldment polished to a mirror finish

304 from the US - $299, 316L from the US 350. Lead time 6-8 weeks

316L from Cartagena - $32, 35 day manufacturing lead time, 25 day shipping time

Same part currently from Ningbo China - $31, 45 day manufacturing lead time, 25% tariff, 120 day shipping time

Stainless in all 3 cases is coming from China (US doesn't manufacture much steel any more)

Update,
Parts from Chris's link showed up about an hour ago. They came with new hardware and gaskets. The quality seems to be acceptable but the packaging was horrible. They somehow made it in one piece without damage.
I'd deem them acceptable to purchase manifolds from forthose in the market for one...or two in my case
