Okay, here we go again. Last year I was trying to figure out what was wrong with my Atlas 5HP because it wouldn't pump water. It was suggested that I get a new wobbler impellor which I did and I replaced the old one but it still doesn't slobber any water out! Am I missing something? What else could be the problem? Maybe the concentric (though that seems fine)? The housing? I'm out of ideas though I'm sure it's probably something simple. Please help. Thx

Problem solved! When testing the older outboards that use a wobbler impellor it pays to take off the prop which causes enough cavitation (in a tank test) that air and not enough water get into the pump housing even though there is a hole on the prop to bring water in. I also turned the wobbler over which may also have made a difference. Bottom line is that with the prop off plenty of water is spitting out of the slots proving that the water pump is working just fine and mission accomplished!

Cool! And just in time for the weekend, too.
