4cyl 120 prestolite stator

Dumb question? Will a 1990 120 4cyl prestolite stator work on a 1990 90 3cyl?
I have an extra and someone needs a stator for there 90? Same part #s except one has a 3 at the end and the other a 4, I thought no, but I thought I would ask.

Yes.
The wires might be a different color but a 20 pole stator is a 20 pole.
​That stator was used in a LOT of motors.
​50/85/90/120/125/150 and a few more.
Look up the parts diagrams and compare part #s

Thanks Jerry, I did compare the #'s they are the same but the last # one is a 3 and other is 4, I would assume for 3cyl and 4cyl, thanks for your response Jerry

No the 3-4 is just an upgrade or a newer number.
Superceded from a 3 to a 4
