fresh gas? correct oil mix? tank vent open (or cap loosened if no vent)? hose or inlet blockage or hose collapsing? tank intake blocked? sounds like you have been pretty thorough.

What altitude are you running at and are the proper jets in the carb for the altitude. Check for air leaks in the fuel system...proper heat spark plugs?

It IS possable to get bad parts.

Or perhaps during the instalation the points have become slightly oiled or dirty.

Go back over electrical connections and grounds.

Sounds like fuel starvation the #1 problem with outboards. May as well replace all the fuel lines and clean out tank parts/valves. Hows the venting did you replace the fuel pump right does it leak. I have had the same problems with every outboard I have owned except the Honda well its a Honda. My Force started up great comming outa storage I replaced many parts including all new zippers for the lines and put QS fuel treatment in before storage. She seems to run fine now I am wondering if there was a sludge blockage in the tank?
