I have a 1990 Glastron SX-195 with an Alpha I 5.0. I took it out for the first time this year earlier today and am thinking I might have a problem with overheating.
As a background, last July, I had new seals and a new wterpump put in. Here is the issue ----
When running around the lake at speed, even a little, there seems to be no issue. Temp stays pegged at 150 degrees. The problem was when I was at idel for a period or going very slow through no wake channels. The temp started to spike. It was inconsistant, some times it would hit 175, sometime less, a few times it creeped up to 200. When I put even a little speed on the boat, the temp immdediately went back to normal.
Any thoughts?
