My 5.0gi pefs had to come out of the boat due to crankshaft issue. I picked the boat up and noticed the wiring plug from dash to engine that had 2 pins un accounted for. I wounted the wires and there are 8 wires. I am not sure if its ment to be this way (unused pins) or if the mechanic broke 2 pins upon removal. Can someone clear this up for me. Pins in question are 4 & 9. Picks below.

Looks like pin
3-Tan water Temp
9-Green/Yellow DLC

Normally pin 9 is not used nor connected, it only goes from ECM to DLC connector.

Pin 3 should be there because it goes to/from Temp gauge and sender

Would it be ok to asume that no pins are broken due to 8 wires coming in and 8 pins out. Since 4 is buzzer at the engine harness is that connected internally? All this to put my mind at ease.

If your unable to find a Tan/Blk wire in the harness, then it is not installed and has no issue with motor running. That said, without that connection the motor can run out of oil, overheat and it will not let you know

The engine has a buzzer and it was working untill engine was removed. I dont have the engine in front of me so i wont be able to confirm. If it is a negative i can always bypass it to engine block.

The buzzer sounds when key is turned ON and motor not started due to the oil pressure switch is closed and grounding the wire. Anytime this lead is grounded the buzzer sounds. So when oil pressure drops, water temp exceeds limits or anything else has this feature it will sound.

I would either jump the connection around the connector or get a replacement pigtail and solder it in place

The wires that i have on this pigtail are coming from the dash are...
Red
Black
Yell/red stripe
Grey
Purple
Purple/white stripe
Light Blue
Brown or Tan

On the engine side i would have to double check to see. But if i have 8 wires and 8 pins i would "assume" that all connections are there. Now i got a hold of the side of the engine harness diagram and see 10 pins coming out and that is what threw me off big time. To the point of almost cursing out the mechanic.

With only 8 then you have all the pins covered.
I have your attachment
Your connector is called 10 pin weather it has 8 or 10

Would you happen to have the instrument panel wiring diagram from helm to engine for the 5.0gi PEFS? I know some engines have it but cannot find it for mine.
