At the starter make sure everythings connected, battery cable ends(both ends) check the 50A circuit breaker, main engine harness plug, ign fuse(if used), ign switch.

Bt Doc hit it right on the head. I had the same happen to me and it was the main engine harness plug. Mine got bumped by the engine cover and pulled it out a little enough to not get anything. My trim worked but no guages. BK

Make sure it is in neutral. Happened to me this weekend after I shut her down. Thought it was in neutral but was not. I had to wiggle the lever back and forth.

It`s the big harness plug on the top of the engine, usually mounted on the shift plate that is mounted to the riser.. could be on the left rear of the intake manifiold

the main engine harness assembly looked ok, I did find where 2 of the wires got burnt thru and probably shorted out, but i fixed those and still nothing, I definitely thought that was the issue, the wires were burned right thru......

Do I need to reset the 50A circuit breaker?? If so, I cant seem to push it in.....??

Going to check the starter connections next....

any thoughts?

the positive connection at the starter was really bad looking, not sure if thats enough to shut the motor down...but, its a little corroded and only being held on by a few wires, its not a full connection though....changed the 50a breaker, the old one was corroded and in rough shapeni ugn fues, ign switch seemed ok,....

Just a thought, but have you checked the safety lanyard? If it came slightly dislodged when going over the wake, it will shut the engine down..
