i have a 97 baja with 5.7 chev. noticed running it on the hose 3 times as much water comming out the exhaust on the right side than there is on the left side. After a 20 mile run last weekend started to melt the rubber boot on the bottom of the 90 on the left side and engine only running about 180 deg has anyone ran into this before?

Sounds like bad / clogged risers and maybe manifolds. Pull the risers and check them out.

And welcome to the forum! :D

There is no safe way to clean them. If they are clogged, they are clogged with rust flakes. Those flakes used to be the metal part of the risers. They are a Maintenance item that get replaced occasionally.

Having said that....

Some do clean them out with muratic acid and get away with it for awhile. Eventually they will fail and can cause the engine to hydrolock.
