Well, while changing my intake manifold gaskets I found out a few things...
My intake is a Hi Performance Chevy Bowtie Marine manifold p/n 14096242, with an adapter on top for the TBI.
My 1997 5.7 IS equipped with a roller cam, even though Mercruiser told me it was flat tappet by SN.
The TBI Unit is a 7.4L unit with 2" throttle bores (Evidently 1992 design vintage due to the gasket).
Due to the TBI mounting gasket issue, I wont be done till tonight. I learned more than I ever wanted to know about TBI's this weekend Ha Ha. Hope this helps someone.

Re: 5.7 TBI Unit

Update, TBI Unit's back on, primed the fuel lines, turned on water to drive unit, turned on battery, tuned key, engine start. I love it when everything goes back together right! I was worried about timing, I may add a few degrees though when I take it out. (TB V) Now if I can just get the engine hatch ram to work...
