Slickcraft with GM inboard 6cyl in-line 165HP. No other accessories besides a inboard engine and the sterndrive.
Yesterday I discovered that before even crancking my engine (doesn't run yet) it draws already 5A from the battery. This seems to be very high in my opinion.
I will try to isolate what draws the current.
But am I right to state that just powering on the ignition-key and a current of 5 amps is not normal?

With key ON seeing 5 amps would be in the normal range. The coil, alternator, gauges, electric choke

will be normal, depending if the points are open or closed. if the points are open the current will be less.
