I have a 73 50 hp evindrude lark that I have had problems with WOT under load.
Having 130 psi compression, rebuilt carbs with kits, new power pack, 2 new coils, timerbase, installed another used stator but didn't change anything, water pump impeller kit, thermostat, and linked my roller to the center mark on the cam and adjusted carbs so they are open all the way at full throttle,
I am really considering paying the $310.00 to have the envinrude tech check it out and tell me why only 3000 RPM's at WOT under load.
Well I gave it one more go today, and now I see some white fuel coming out of the carbs and actually oosing out of the throat of the carb.
Is the only way this can happen is to have water in the fuel tank. I have 50:1 with a couple of oz. of sea foam in it.
Apparently I have something out of adjustment? This was happening with the muffs on.
Any last ditch ideas?
