When removing the lower unit on this motor, is it likely that the upper shift shaft can fall out of the lever (in the bottom cowl) ? I notice it is fairly loose and can move up and down. It has a taper as shown here.. Would it be be advised to clamp it up there to prevent it coming out with the L/U or is it held some other way ? It just loosely fits into the upper lever and seems to have no screws or clips.
