I have a 2002 50 hp 2 stroke (oil injection removed completely, tank is gone) Yamaha outboard with a brand new control box. When i first ran the motor i noticed it got very hot so i changed the water pump. The over heating problem is fixed but it got me thinking about the hot horn. It never went off and i think the motor was def. hot enough. So, i tried disconecting the temp sensor at the top of the cylinder head and plugging the orange and orange/green wires into each other to complete the circuit. Still nothing...I then tried another harness that i know is good. Still no horn. Could this have to do with the oil level sensor being gone? The orange wires go into the cdi unit but im not sure what to check after that. the only wires that seem to be coming out of the cdi unit are white, pink, and yellow/red. Any help on why i cant get this hot horn to sound would be appreciated.

the pink not orange is usually the overheat alarm wire, ground it
