50 hp 4 stroke bogs out

hi freinds i have a 50 hp 4 stroke merc 2003
having problems on acceleration.
when acceleration from stop boggs
doesnt stall out
idles well
any opinions

carb jets stopped up, have to clean , manually or use seafoam, carbs have 3 jets, idle, med, and highspeed, suggest get a manual and do it your self , not to hard, good luck ron

Hi, tried seafoam, no luck. Any other advice would be helpful.

seafoam? What is this, my 50 has big trubbles too when trying to punch it, bogs then stalls

Seafoam is a fuel system cleaner that is readily available in the marina parts store

seafoam may help, but a carb cleaning, and rebuilt kit, new gas, along with a linc n sinc, will do a lot better. also check fuel pump. also check for water in the gas.
