50 hp 87 Evenrude carbs.

I have a 87 Evinrude 50 hp that needs to have the carbs rebuilt. Am I crazy for doing it myself, or should I pay someone $ 200 to do it? I have rebuilt some carbs auto lawn mowers but never an outboard. What is the most damage I could do by doing it myself? I know will not start is one of the options.

I do have the manual.

They are not brain surgery, llfish.

Use the OEM Manual (aftermarket manuals bite the big one when it comes to details).

Do them one at a time and be sure they are in the spot they came from.
