I just recently bought a 50hp force that I believe is a 92-94 serial#0E001691. it has mercury controls. The controls wont pull it from idle to WOT. I don't think the controls are made to fit this motor But I'm not sure. Doesn't seem to have enough travel in the throttle cable to pull it through its full range. Do I need new controls or is there adjustments that I can make?
The first pic is the controller
the second is the throttle plate at neutral and
the 3rd is in forward gear at WOT. Any help is appreciated!

I'm wondering the same thing. I have an older Mercury control box (quicksilver). And a 90hp 1991 Force.

I'm having a hell of a time trying to connect the two.

Mercury bought Force sometime in the 80's and by 1990 they had changed over to using Merc controllers, so I think you guys have the right controller. It is really hard to help folks with controller issues, because there is so much that can go wrong. 1 tiny sheared off part might be the issue but it's hard to know until you track it down.

Jallen, are you looking down the carb throat? If the plate is in the horizontal position it is wide open regardless of where the linkage is. You want it to go to horizontal, not beyond.
