Where is the carb serial or model number located on a 1982 50 hp mercury?

I'm not sure where you will find the carb serial number but your carb is a type "B" with the integral fuel pump according to my manual.

Any merc dealer should be able to tell you the part number based upon your engines serial number. In your case there was only one 50hp in 1982. I had the same motor only it was a merc/mariner.

I have a mercury 50hp 3 cylinder 2 cycle outboard with a broken jet I have the part number it is 6071A53 but I have come up empty handed I was told it was NLA ?
