hello i hav a 3 cylinder 50 mercury 1987 what advice can any 1 give me as to servicing it i have only seen the engine running out of water with a hose attached but i would like to service it myself while its out of the water, the oil injection has been removed and the former owner used to pre mix petrol, many thanks

Do a complete lubrication including changing gear lube. If the engine has not had the impeller changed recently change that also

can any body tell me how to change the impeller and gear oil on my outboard thanks

Sounds like you also need a service manual before you try to work on it.
Best one to get would be the OEM manual. You can order one from your local Merc dealer or possibly find one on ebay. You MAY need manual #90-86135--5 what is your motors SN to find out for sure.
