I have a 2002 50 Merc tiller with remote power tnt and remote key switch/hot horn. Can I convert this to standard controls and if so what years controls will work. Thanks

Just a thought, if you've got the stuff in place to connect a gear/throttle remote it might be cheaper to keep your current remote start/tnt and just add a throttle/gearchange without electrics as these are fairly universal .
Adapters are available for fitting most push/pull cables to most boxes.

My last boat had the throttle/gears at waist height and the key/electric stuff on the dash panel.

Where's the tiller? central? We dont' get many 50hp tillers over here, but there should be an eye on the front of the engine below the cowl that you'd bolt teleflex steering or the like to. The cable secures through the big hollow bolt the engine tilts on- you can see it fairly clearly in the pic of my older 50hp below.
