Should you be able to push this 50A button on the top of the engine? I assume its a breaker/fuse of some sort for the main engine harness, or is it a kill switch of some sort? I ask because mine does not move and I want to make sure that is as intended.

What engine?

Sounds like a circuit breaker on Mercruiser, OMC or Volvo-Penta. It only moves if it tripped.

If its the 40/50amp breaker it doesn't move unless it trips, so if you press it and its not moving you should be good, unless you motor has no power.
Looks something like this?

Yup, thats it! Thanks for clearing that up. Wanted to make sure it was stuck from corrosion or something.
