ok, so i've been messing with this thing for a couple days trying to figure it out on my own and i give up. it's a '93 4 amp i believe.
the engine was a slap in replacement type deal from a previous owner i'm guessing because lots of things are rigged/ not connected.
that being said,. I have the tach working so i have a pulse. In the yellow wires from the stator/regulator i have ranging a/c volts. from 9ish at idle to off the 20 scale reved up. ( battery voltage is constant 12.5 dc obviously)
I have voltage on the red and keyed voltage on the purple ( both static 12.5v on the power strip even while running)
I tried ohm'ming the voltage regulator but it's seemingly open no matter how i connect it.
any advice?
