My 50HP Mercury 4 stroke mounted on a 20 ft party barge normally runs about 5500 rpm at wide open throttle. After not being used for about a year, it now maxes out at 4000 rpm. It starts easily, runs well at low speed and seems to be running normally at 4000 rpm. Just won't rev hay higher. Any trouble shooting suggestions appreciated.
