I have a 50hp force that overheated a seized the engine. The alarm did not go off. All wiring is ok to it. Is there a way to check the heat sensor on the head to see if it is bad which would cause the buzzer not to buzz?

Yes, since the wires are good turn the ignition ON, remove and connect the overheat sender wire to the engine block and the buzzer should work, if it does replace the overheat temp. sender, if it doesn't then there is a bad wire, bad connection, no voltage, or the buzzer is defective. Check the buzzer circuit fuse and the connections at the buzzer and overheat temp sender, if fuse and connections are good (clean & tight).

OR

If you have a volt meter check for 12 volts DC at both sides of the fuse, both sides of the buzzer and at the temp sender. If all are okay ground the temp wire and the buzzer should work, if not replace it.
