50hp tilt

I have a 82 50hp johnson. Been doing a little research an I think for my year power t/t had two rams and mine only has one which I believe if just for tilt. Does this sound correct. Is this ment to be used under power at all. Can I add power trim or is it easier to just buy an aftermarker like a cmc.

that is power tilt. It will pop open at around 10hp and drop back down. I always prefer factory trim unless you have a specific desire for kicker plate. However, the factory trim for your particular year is a very popular item that routinely sells for more than any other J/E system.
