When I got this motor running yesterday it had lots of pressure to the tank. When I pulled the carb to clean it I noticed the one check valve had come off of the spring so I reattached it and put it all back together. I ran it and it died and I discovered I had no more pressure to the tank. So I removed the carb and bent the spring back down so the valve sealed. Was this the right thing to do or should I just left it det
As you can see in the pic the top valve is slightly open, this was taken before I bent it back, the spring has a noticeable bend at the top. It runs now without repriming but the pressure isn't the same.
ached from the spring. I read a bulletin that backfires can ruin the spring. Thoughts?
