I came across a '52-'54? (so says the evinrude site) 3Hp model #3012-49157 The pistons were frozen in the head, as I broke them loose I found the rings to be stuck in the pistons. In the procedure to free them I broke 2. I am looking for new ones, not knowing part# or compatibility its becoming dificult. Did the bore size change in the years to come? Evinrude dealer's computer only goes as far back as '57.
