Hello to all,
This is just an update not motor related. First off I would like to thank all of the folks on here who have helped me with my 53/4 rude 15hp. I have it on a 12' tinnie semi-v and it pushes it to 20.8mph on gps with 11 by 9 prop. Not bad at all, just me aboard. I have replaced the whole ignition system all brand new, took the head of decarbed it, and a new head gasket. I also took the intake off and the leafvalves all good. And finally got a new seal kit/waterpump for the foot. And disassembled the carb and gave it a once over. Let me tell you guys this motor loves 3/4 to full throttle. I am extremely happy with this set-up. One day I had it out and ran it non-stop for 4 hours just goin up and down in the delaware river, ran flawless it just wanted to keep goin
. I have all the goodies on it like gps/fishfinder and vhf. Next I am going to work on a led running lights so the fun doesn't when the sun goes down. It is what I like to call the perfect one-man boat. Because after all you gotta keep your fishing spots a secret come contest day!
Once again thanks especially wbeaton for the parts manual.
Happy boating
John
