I was looking through my old Penn Yan catalog getting ready to list it.I was amazed at some of the models.They had a little car top 12 ft weighed only 57 lbs. also a number of larger car tops starting at 67lbs and ending at a 14 footer at 114lbs.rated at 12 hp. 600 lb.capacity.There was a 12 footer 97 lb. that appeared to be planing with a 3hp and dad and son aboard.Not just a canoe chopped down but real little outboards.It looked to me all the Penn Yans would operate efficiently at the hp and speeds of the day.And classic beauties at the same time.
