'54 Sea King 3HP overheating!

Hey all,
I just replaced the impeller in my 3 hp Sea King (Got it from Brian Wilcox, great guy!) and started her up, problem is that I'm not getting even a drop of water out of the exhaust chevrons and the engine is getting hot within a minute. Is there any way that the coolant canals can be blocked and if so how can I clear them out so my rotor will cool off my engine?
Thanks,

Well, they can be blocked of course. But fortunatly id would be kind of unusual. What is hard to say is where they are blocked. There is a water flush plug on the side of the gercase. See if you can get any water to flow through the system. Most of the cooling system is cast in place and not easy to do anything about.

Before you do any of that, make sure that pump is ok. There is more to it than the rotor.

I was not aware that there is a pump in this little kicker. I thought that the rotation of the prop shaft moved the rotor and wobbled, acting as a pump to push water up to cool the cylinder. Where is this pump located? Can I service it?

All,
Got her pumping water, come to find out the key which rotated the rotor lobe was missing and thus the rotor was not properly functioning. Made a key up and she works like a charm! Thanks!

By "pump" I meant the whole assembly. Rotor, eccentric, housing and cover plate. Yes, even the propeller.

For future reference:
