55-56 QD 16-17 10hp Flywheel swap

Anyone know if a 56 Johnson 10hp QD17 Flywheel can be swapped to a 55 QD16 Have someone that needs one for a 55 16, and all I have is a 17. I would think so, but any more info appreciated..thanks

The book sez 580155 for QD-12 thru 16, 580215 for QD-17 thru 18. I'm guessing the '56 has the single plastic pawl recoil starter?

Found the other QD 16..they are NOT the same. 16 and 17 (55-56 QD's) wiill not interchange...changed the recoil system in that years and the recoil mounting brackets are different too Thanks FR...Robby
