cant get spark from 55 evinrude 15 hp. checked plugs at night while cranking no sparking seen. any ideas what the cause could be, and where should i start to remedy the situation. thx
J Headrick,<br /><br />The most likely culprits are in order, following.<br /><br />1. Points.<br /><br />2. Coils.<br /><br />Both are under the flywheel. Once the flywheel is removed, replacing the points would be prudent. If the coils look cracked, replace them too.
