55 hp evinrude no spark.

Everything on the engines electrical has been replaced, from modulator, coil, rectifier, magnetos, all wiring and harnesses. and after about an hour of running, the engine started misfiring terribly and it eventually died. looking over every wire connection i cannot find anything loose or broken. How do i test all of the components with a meter?? And does anyone have a good starter they wanna get rid of? thanks.....

By the way, the motor is about a 1968 3 cyl. with electric shift....

Mike, i'm kinda new here, but i've been reading and learning. most of all i've learned that you can save a whole lot of time and heartache if you spring for a manual. trust me... it will pay for itself many times over.
