Hi Guys,

I'm the proud owner of a new(?) 1955 Evinrude Bigtwin Electric(25920 / 18057). the motor spent the last 20+ years in a garage but the cover was living in a field. Just picked her up yesterday.
last night, tore into her power-head to see what was going on. compression feels great. reeds look like new. She's in pretty good shape but needs a bit of tlc.

can someone advise omc part numbers for a few items?
she needs:
1 coil
carb kit
waterpump kit (haven't looked there yet but,...)

and,.. as she's originally set up as a 2-line fuel system, any suggestions for a clean re-fit to a single line system?

after this, i think all she needs is a bath and some make-up.

Aftermarket (NAPA, Web, etc):

Coil: 18-5181
Carb Kit: 18-7024 (no float. Dry and paint enamel to repair if sunk)
Water pump: 18-3006 (Impeller only, they don't have the body, etc)

This info comes from here. I thought I ought to credit them.
I strongly recomend you consider replacing both coils. If the other one is 20+ years old it is probably cracked and doomed to fail. (Moisture enters them and it's near impossible to drive it out) New ones are better.
Sorry, no great ideas on the refit. You know the 60's era big twin fuel pump has three hose nipples; fuel in, fuel out, and crank pulse? It also has a fuel filter. Anyway, I guess it's probably easiest to mount. Also cheap to rebuild.

Good luck & let us know how it goes!
