Folks,

I dismantled and cleaned the carb on the seahorse. I got it running briefly a week ago. Now I cant get it to start. There is a nice spark. I do not smell gas after multiple pulls when I remove a plug.

I completely removed both adjustment screws. Is there a basic starting point when replacing the air and gas valves? ( like all the way in and the X # of turns out)? Any other ideas.

Thanks

Re: 57 10 hp seahorse fuel leak.

Folks,
I got a pressurized tank in the mail today. It holds pressure niely. When I connected it to my seahorse and pumped several times gas leaked out at the connection between the jack on the motor and the jack entering it from the tank where they connect. Should there be a gasket or O ring there? It looks like two old bakelite plugs.

Thanks

Static settings for the needle valves
Low speed, turn the needle valve in until lightly seated and back out 1 1/2 turns.
High speed, turn the needle in until lightly seated and back out 1 turn.
Final adjustments should be made with the boat in the water.
There are o-rings in the coupler that can be replaced.

Sorry can't help with your problem just wondering what the shipping cost you on your tank? I'm in need of one also for a '59 5 1/2 rude. Not having any luck around home so it looks like it'll be ebay. Thanks

I paid 25 in shipping and 50 for the tank. It seemed like alot of money but I didn't want to go to the bother of installing a fuel pulm. I wonder if you can use a conventional garden sprayer?
