'57 AD-11 7.5hp - Is there an impeller housing gasket?

Today I received a couple items I ordered on eBay.<br />A new recoil spring, and an impeller kit that contains the impeller and the wear plate. Every other impeller change I've done has required a gasket... does this one? If so, is it something I can make out of some gasket material? What type of material?<br /><br />Thanks to the responses I've gotten on a couple other threads, I know how to tackle both of these jobs. I'm just unclear about the gasket.<br /><br />Thanks SO much for being here, all of you who post useful info. Your help is invaluable to me.<br /><br />Brian

There's no gasket for the plate. I like to put a little sealant between the wear plate and the lower unit though. Something like permetex #2. (No silicone pretty well anywhere on an outboard).<br /><br />Hope this helps!
