57 evinrude no gas.

my 57 IS NOT GETTING GAS in the venturi it is filling the bowl but not getting any further. i put in new float,and blew out the orifuses i could see, does the fuel come up through the small tube in the center of the ventuei,because none is coming through there or any where else.plugs are dry.

sounds like you need a complete carb rebuild. are you still using the pressure tank, that could be an issue as well.

if it's getting gas to the bowl nothing wrong with the pressure tank. I agree you need to take the carb apart and soak it overnight in a 50/50 solution of pinesol and water. then put a rebuild kit in.

im still wondering if the center tube in the bowl is where the fuel is sucked upwards into the carb venturi, and if not,how?
