I have a co worker that has the thin metal trim for this motor on one he has laying in the garage, he thinks the motor is def from the 50s and is a 40 horse lark, any idea what the trim and motor would be worth. he said the motor did run, I said the trim is prolly worth more then the motor. I showed him a pic of my 30 that is a 1958 and he said **** thats it. Any advice is welcome. Ive had lunge and knee issues along with my wifes surgical fusion my poor project boat sits and waits, have the wood cut to go back in and new parts and paint bought, just physically cant get out to do it yet.

Gotta match up your years better. If it's a 40, it's no older than 1960. Your 30 is a 1956 (only year they made a 30). They are NOT compatible...

Was PTT a factory option , or even an aftermarket part for the 1960 40hp?

I think by trim he means the cowl, medallions and such.

58_lonestar_project_020.jpg hope this pic worked, if so it is this motor and has the main trim section that is missing, although he said it was an electric shift
